What are Singing Waiters and why should I choose them for my wedding?

Singing Waiters in the UK is a growing phenomenon, we are the most exciting concept in the wedding industry at the moment, think of a flash mob type scenario with less people. The concept of our show is create excitement and wonderment for you and all of your guests to enjoy. The key is in our name, Singers in Disguise, we pose as waiters or venue staff blending in with the staff, serving food and drinks until mains are cleared then... *BAM* the music starts and we burst into song with some of the UK's finest singers singing your favourite popular songs, surprising your guests, getting them up dancing, doing the Conga and having an amazing time all in the afternoon before your evening entertainment. Our Surprise Secret Singers performance lasts for approximately 7-8 songs and really does pick up the guests ready for the evening entertainment, our act is renowned for filling the gap when the usual Wedding Lull Kicks in, in other words when the guests start to get tired after an early start and a few drinks, in between the meal and the evening party, Singing Waiters bridge that gap ready for the party in the evening. We are totally bespoke, listen to our customers, we know how important your wedding is to you and equally how important it is to perform certain songs at your wedding therefore we will try and get our Singers to fulfil all requests in our shows. How much does it cost?

As we are completely bespoke to our customers individual needs it is difficult to give an exact price without quoting for your exact requirements however our base prices are below; Please note they refer to either Singing Waiters or Our Wedding Breakfast Entertainment offerings. Solo Singing Waiter show starts from £500.00, Solo Singing Waiters, Evening Show or Disco from- £750.00, Solo Singing Waiters, Evening Show and a Disco from £750.00, Two Singing Waiters Prices, Two Singing Waiters show start from £850.00, Two Singing Waiters, Evening Show or Disco from- £1150.00, Two Singing Waiters, Evening Show and a Disco from- £1500.00, More Singing Waiters can be added for an extra fee also we can offer bespoke ideas of how to work around your individual day.

How Long do you perform for?

All of our performances no matter how many of them you choose will last around 7 to 8 songs which is around 30 to 40 minutes with Banter and guest participation within the show. Any longer, we find that the groom, best man and father of the bride tend to get a little bit edgy as their speeches are usually after our performance :), we wouldn't recommend any shorter either as we want all of our customers to get value for their money.

What is the Difference between Singing Waiters and Wedding Breakfast Entertainment

We get asked this question a lot and in all honesty there isn't much of a difference other than with wedding breakfast entertainment we don't pose as the waiters as simply there are some people that don't like the idea. Its still a surprise though don't you worry, we will usually burst through the doors suited and booted and get the party started after mains are cleared. Our surprise entertainment whatever you decide to choose doesn't have to be done at a wedding breakfast, it can easily be adapted to a drinks reception, wedding party, events, birthdays parties and corporate functions and events.

Why are Singing Waiters so expensive

Wedding Entertainment has a common misconception that suppliers hike their prices up, some may do however its not what we are about, our prices are matched with the industry standard and set like that due to the planning, equipment and hours that our talented surprise singing waiters will be working at your event for example; Our Singing Waiters will often be required to travel long distances to perform at your event, arrive before you to set up and do our sound checks and your guests meaning that they are usually working for upwards of 12 to 14 hours All of our entertainers are fully insured and travel with the latest Performance equipment and importantly are some of the finest voices in the UK with plenty of experience to make your day perfect and surprise your guests perfectly and making the whole day extra special.

Can I pick my own songs?

We have a standard set of popular songs that we and all of our former clients know and love, mainly because our Singing Waiters have performed at that many weddings we know what works and has something that will please all wedding guests. We know however that some songs will be special to our customers so as long as there is some notice, we are happy to learn your songs and slot them into our set.

How far will you travel?

Do the Singing Waiters just work at weddings?

Absolutely not, Our Singing Waiters are perfect for Corporate Events and Parties as well. We go down amazingly well at company Christmas parties where the banter intensifies as everyone lets their hair down. We have even performed at intimate private family meals which also works great as we are so unexpected and surprise evert guest we perform to.

Is a deposit required when booking?

Yes, a deposit is always required, we ask for 10% within 14 days of the booking and a clear balance 21 days before your event, payment can be made by bank or if you are wishing to pay by card this can be done via our PayPal link.

Can I cancel or change my booking due to my wedding or event being cancelled as a result of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Pandemic

We are nearly ready to start performing again and we cannot wait!

The COVID 19 pandemic has taken its toll upon most of society and it’s amazing that we can finally see a light at the end of the tunnel.

The Performing Arts and wedding industry has been hit arguably the hardest, you an read about it in last year’s blog here, What about Weddings (singersindisguise.co.uk).

The performing arts industry hasn’t been able to perform live for over a year and has had to come up with inventive ways to perform online, whether it be by way of live streaming through Facebook and Instagram or through the media channels to get out there and be heard.

The Wedding industry has been so limited that most suppliers cannot even be booked as 15 people for a wedding without a wedding breakfast has not been a viable option, it has been pretty bleak.

The team at Singers in Disguise, Singing Waiters and Wedding Breakfast Entertainment Home (singersindisguise.co.uk), have not performed at any venue for over a year and we can’t wait to get back.

We have not been resting on our laurels though, we have updated the website and social media, we think it looks great and has all of the FAQ detailed on it that our customers have asked over the years.

We have added some superb songs to our repertoire and practiced and practiced them to make them sound amazing and we promise that once we are back to performing, we will make your event or wedding absolutely amazing, and we have updated our equipment to make the sound at your event or wedding the best it can be.

All in all, we are chomping at the bit to get back out there and do what we do best which is surprise your guests with our superb singing waiters and wedding breakfast entertainers.
